Manufacturing Dombrés

OUR COMPANY

Dombré is a traditional West Indian dish, particularly popular in Guadeloupe. However, making dombrés can be tedious. That’s why Mr Serge HAMOT, a baker by training, has designed a machine to make dombrés easier to make, at the instigation of his partner Mrs Marie-Hélène GARÇON.

This invention gave rise to the SARL “LES DÉLICES SURGELÉS” in 2007, specializing in the production of frozen dombrés.

WHO WE ARE

LES DÉLICES SURGELÉS” is co-managed by Marie-Hélène GARÇON (partner) and Eric CAIRO, ensuring collaborative management of the business.

Mr Serge Hamot, founder and majority shareholder and designer of the dombrés machine, has authorized its use by the company.

Major decisions are taken collectively at the Annual General Meeting.

OUR OFFER

Initially focused on frozen dombrés, the company has expanded its range to include pizza dough, bokit (another local specialty), as well as puff pastry and shortcrust dough.

Having conquered the taste buds of the West Indies, the ambition is now to promote Guadeloupe’s culinary heritage beyond the island’s borders.

To this end, a semi-industrial plant is under construction, equipped with a new machine also designed by Mr. HAMOT, to increase production capacity.

The ultimate aim is to promote and develop a new agro-processing sector for wheat flour in Guadeloupe, by marketing these ready-to-use pasta products nationally and internationally.

2024

Start of work on new plant

Construction of a new plant to multiply production, increase storage and reduce emissions by using solar energy.

2020

Bokit Pasta Launch

Attentive to the needs of its customers, SARL LES DÉLICES SURGELÉS is expanding its product range with bokit pasta, a veritable emblem of Guadeloupe gastronomy.

2008

Awards for entrepreneurship in Guadeloupe

  • 1st prize, Concours Régional de la Création d'Entreprise 2008 - Crafts sector, awarded by the Conseil Régional de Guadeloupe
  • 2008 Innovation Award Trophy, awarded by the Guadeloupe Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

2007

Creation of LES DÉLICES SURGELÉS SARL

With the industrialization of the dombrés machine, we had to democratize its use and build a semi-industrial business around it.

Design of the dombrés machine

Mr Serge HAMOT has developed an innovative device for preparing dombrés. The invention is protected by a patent issued by the Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI).
